Examples of Rock & Roll Party Invitations

Your party invitations are the first indication to your guests of your chosen theme. You can always choose to send premade invitations that you find at your local party supply store; however, if your theme is rock and roll, then you may want a more outrageous way of displaying it on the invitation. You can easily make your own invitations at home, often for less money than purchasing store bought ones. - Cookies cutters make it easy to make invitations into any shape you desire. The cookie cutter can be placed onto a piece of colored card stock and traced. The shape is then cut out and decorated to look like that object. For example, for your rock and roll theme, you can use cookie cutters shaped like a microphone, a guitar or a piano. Then decorate the shape with markers, glitter and paint. Whatever shape you choose, make sure it is large enough to make it easy to cut out and ensure there is enough room to write your party invitation on the back.
- With today’s technology, blank CDs are available at reasonable prices. You can purchase enough CDs to have one for each guest. On one side write your party information using a permanent marker. You can decorate this side as well, if you would like, using different color markers or stickers. For the recordable side of the CD, you can leave it blank or you can burn a few songs onto it using your favorite CD burning software program. If you prefer not to purchase CDs you can use old CDs that you do not use any more and write the invitation on the recorded side of the disc.
- Another easy, inexpensive idea is to make your own concert tickets. Cut pieces of card stock into ticket shapes, measuring approximately 6 inches long and 2 inches wide. Then using a concert ticket as a guide, turn the card stock ticket into your invitations. Be sure to include the venue, which is where the party will be, the show time, which is when the party starts, and performer, which would be the name of the guest of honor. Decorate the sides of the ticket with random seat, row and aisle numbers.
