I found that I just did not have enough money to retire so I really had no choice but to keep working, and as it turned out it was a blessing in disguise. I now enjoy this more than anything, and yes I could retire fully if I want, but I do not want to do that yet.

You must have enough money to retire, and I am sorry to say most people do not retire with adequate retirement income to live on, let alone have a happy retirement.

• Do you really want to start a home based business?
• Should it be an online or non internet business?
• How will you go about balancing job and retirement? You are, after all, retired and want time to enjoy things like traveling to places you have always dreamed of.
• Do you want to become involved with the Tax people?

The above are items you should consider. However, none of these items should deter you if you really want to work from home.

What else do you have to have or consider for retirement jobs?

You have to have a passion about what you are doing. It could be a hobby or just an interest that you have always had. You might be asking yourself what do I have to offer? Stop and think, you have a wealth of knowledge and skills, gained from life experience, and you now have the time to do something that you will love.

Your health has to be good, actually, something to replace your job, like your own work at home online business, keeps you well in the perfect frame of mind.

Marriage, you might ask what does this have to do with working at home, well, quite a lot actually. You both have to be happy with what you are going to do, if not, then the chances are it might not work.

One thing that a lot of retired seniors worry about is the use of the dreaded computer. The first time I went on a computer was at about the age of 57, I am now 68, I was terrified. What I did find out was that computers and building websites are not all that big of a mystery.

Most people who know computers and web design try to blind the person they are talking to with science. However, there is a lot of basic computer training out there and best of all, a few good companies well help you build your site from the start to finish. So really you don't have to worry about this.

Quite a few people say that the first reason they don't want to retire is due to financial reasons and in a majority of cases this could will be an overriding factor. However, I believe they still want to contribute to society.

We still want to have a say, and realize our efforts are important and become involved within the world around us, other than watching that television all day.

This can be the beginning of a new life, being retired does not have to be the end, it can become the best time of your life.

It can be whatever you want it to be.
