Sometimes people feel like they have sinned so much their atonement is hopeless.
They think maybe their sins cannot be forgiven, but that is not true.
Our sins can be forgiven.
We can accomplish this, and know our destiny will be in a beautiful, light place of unconditional love.
One way to bring about this personal atonement for our sins is by doing acts of charity.
This can be helping people in any way.
It can be helping them financially in some way.
It can be helping them do a physical project, like sweeping out the garage.
It can be like visiting an elderly person who cannot leave their home.
It can be accomplishing a trip to the grocery store for them.
It can even be a smile and a short visit over the fence.
When we do something to help someone, we are doing charity.
One fantastic, powerful energy act of charity is to do something for someone anonymously.
When no one except our heavenly Father knows the good thing we did for someone, then all the blessing comes directly from Him.
If we tell others what we did, then some of the blessing comes in the form of admiration from our fellow man, and then apparently the blessing from Creator may be less.
When we do acts of charity, it makes changes in our hearts and souls.
A light of unconditional love begins to grow, and this earns forgiveness from our Lord.
As we continue to do kind things for others, this love continues to grow.
That is why Jesus said that only the pure in heart would see God.
When our love grows so abundantly, that it lights up our little corner of the world, then we see God within.
Isn't this wonderful that our Father has given us this way to get to know Him, and to become one with Him? It works.
Try it and you will realize a tremendous blessing and fantastic joy!
