Economic Upheaval Brings Opportunity
The capitalist democracy created in 1776, ended in 2008.
The whole system is based on self interest, competition, and checks and balances.
It has been the most productive, and violent, economic system ever created.
It is not sustainable.
Self interest inevitably leads to war.
It starts as social, economic and political competition, and leads to war.
In order to eliminate the effect, war, we must improve what is causing the effect, self interest.
Global citizenship is the principle that starts healing the conflict.
Teaching all people, from birth until death, that human kind is one civilization.
We are all one team, one network, one family, one tribe, one nation.
We can use education and training to gently and firmly change our social, economic and political systems, in ways that progressively move us toward this universal common wealth.
The United Nations organization and its principles are a much more cooperative system for consultation and leadership in the next generation of human civilization.
Developing universal standards, such as the metric system for weights and measures, a universal language that is taught to every child on earth, perhaps a universal currency, definitely a world court and international police department of some kind, as well as a military force to defend our global commonwealth.
In the process of developing this world wide commonwealth, we need to teach some reasonable and universal moral values and spiritual principles.
This moral and spiritual education must be integrated into the fabric of our culture, not some separate compartment, isolated from our educational, economic and political culture.
Religion is an inherent attribute of human nature.
Science and religion are complimentary attributes of the search for truth.
Science is the search for truth about natural reality.
Religion is the search for truth about moral and spiritual reality.
Science without religion is materialism, religion without science is superstition.
Either one without the other is a half truth.
Marriage and family need to be healed, supported and protected.
Family values shall be integrated into all of our social, economic and political institutions.
The large business organizations that we have inherited from the capitalist democracy are valuable enterprises and need to be integrated into our global commonwealth carefully and fairly.
Private property must be respected and protected.
These businesses are the most efficient way to produce many of the products and services we use in our everyday lives.
What we do not want, is big business interfering in our government of the people, by the people and for the people.
And big businesses have become the most oppressive institutions in human history.
We need to improve this aspect of human nature and civilization.
Most of the people on earth work in small businesses and many of them work as free agents, individual entrepreneurs, buying, selling and trading an infinite variety of ideas, stories, information, education, communications, art, crafts, products and services.
We can improve the agricultural foundation of our economy by returning to family farming.
We can use state of the art technology to develop very high performance family farms.
While industrial scale agribusiness has some advantages of scale, the cost of separating the people from the land is like pulling our civilization out of the ground by its roots.
And the monoculture crops that big businesses are developing have already been the demise of many civilizations in human history.
The Internet supplies virtually unlimited information, education and communications for all families to connect to a diverse assortment of networks.
Networks of family farms and home office based free enterprises, small and large businesses, science, religion and government all working in harmony with each other and our natural habitat.
Real free enterprise, with liberty, equality and justice for all people everywhere.
Yes, this is an ideal, a utopian idea.
Neuroplasticity is the science that is revealing the natural reality, that we can use education and training to change the physical structure of our brains.
We can consciously and intentionally improve human consciousness.
We can improve ourselves and help others.
And we can do so in a way that safeguards individual liberty, family values and our common wealth.
The human race is coming together.
The United Nations is the greatest civilization that has ever existed on earth.
It is the next generation of human civilization.
A universal federation of nations.
Unity in diversity, not uniformity, is our strategy for improving ourselves and helping each other.
Love and respect each other.
Human nature and civilization is whatever we make it.
Help make the world a better place, be kind, friendly and polite.
Peace be with you all.
