Grants for Yoga Training
- Inquire with local yoga studios in your area. Some studios provide a range of scholarships and work-study opportunities. These opportunities might not be explicitly advertised through the studio, so it is always best to ask and explain your financial situation.
- Feathered Pipe Foundation, outside of Helena, Montana, and Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, both offer scholarships for teacher training and specific styles of yoga intensives. For further information, visit featheredpipe.com and kripalu.org.
- TeraMundi World Wellness and Satya Foundation offer grants for already qualified yoga teachers. TeraMundi accepts grant proposals on a number of topics related to yoga and the community and Satya's mission is founded on yoga for children.
- For those interested in training in Iyengar yoga, scholarships and grants are available for teacher training from InegarYoga.org.
- Consult yoga and alternative health publications, such as Yoga Journal and Yoga Magazine. Local health food stores usually have copies of local alternative health magazines, which include a wealth of information and contacts.
