Health Issues and GMO Foods, Is There Really a Link?
Many years before the FDA approves foods, preservatives, additives, and such, there are rigorous lab tests and years of research.
This has not been the case with Genetically Modified Organisms.
In fact, most of the research done on this subject has been brushed aside as irrelevant and was not done long enough to gather sufficient data.
What Americans have begun to notice nearly 25 years after being introduced to our food supply, are plenty of environmental, health and safety issues.
It all starts with the seeds we use to grow crops.
They are deliberately infused with pesticides and herbicides to allegedly help our farmers.
While short term this may be the case, long term our farmers battle the issue of the super weeds and super bugs.
That creates an issue again for our farmers.
They wind up putting out the expense for even harsher pesticides and herbicides such as 2 (4-D) which is a chemical in Agent Orange.
Yes, all of these eventually wind up in our food supply and our bodies.
For many years, season after season, this has been the norm in our national food supply.
Scientists and physicians alike are seeing alarming rises in health issues such as food and environmental allergies.
These are the mild effects thus far.
Some laboratory tests on mice and rats paint an even scarier picture on what some of the effects are.
Mice and rats have a much quicker reproduction rate and shorter lifespan thus tracking the effects of GMO effects are much easier.
Observations include but are not limited to: lack of growth and development, multiple tumors, rare cancers, reproductive issues, kidney and liver failure, and hairy teeth.
The list grows as research becomes more solidified and clear.
Allergies among our nations youth has also skyrocketed.
Aside from the hay fever and other environmental allergens, allergies to certain foods has increased threefold in the last 2 decades.
Peanuts, dairy, gluten, soy and other staple foods have become downright toxic to some.
This list also grows as further research is done.
The bottom line of all of this? Money and Profits.
Those same companies that benefit from GMO products also benefit from the healthcare related to the fallout of the use of these products.
Cancer being the most profitable.
It's truly unbelievable how far big companies and our very own FDA have come in getting their way to hide the truth from us.
Do your own research, it's out there and it's abundant.
