How to Connect a Vacuum Hose
- 1). Unplug your vacuum.
- 2). Slide the extension hose into the main suction hole on your vacuum.
- 3). Lock the hose in place. If your vacuum has a threaded end, simply turn it right or left until you can't turn it or pull it out of the connector. If your vacuum has a button or latch near the end of the hose, push the hose in until you feel or hear it lock into place or twist it right or left until you feel or hear it lock in place.
- 1). Turn off and unplug your upright vacuum.
- 2). Access the power nozzle hose per your vacuum manual. Typically, this involves turning the floor power nozzle over and removing the soleplate, roller brush, belt(s) or any other parts that block access to the hose.
- 3). Remove the power nozzle hose. Usually this involves simply twisting the hose off where it connects to the vacuum.
- 4). Twist the ends of the new hose in place onto the tubes from which you removed the old hose.
- 5). Reattach the roller brush, belt(s), soleplate or any other parts that you removed to access the hose.
