Tallulah Falls is located in northern Georgia near the Tallulah River. This river town is also known for its large gorge, a two-mile, 1,000-feet-deep gorge formed by the Tallulah River eroding a quartz rock formation. Tallulah Falls primarily attracts those looking for outdoor recreation opportunities--visitors are able to explore several miles of hiking trails, cross an 80-foot high suspension bridge and sunbathe on a white sand beach along Tallulah Lake. Clayton, located 10 miles north of Tallulah Falls, is a small town with a few shops and restaurants serving Georgia home-style cooking. Visitors to Tallulah Falls can choose to stay in one of the area's RV parks. - Tallulah Gorge State Park is located at the Tallulah Gorge. Visitors can hike trails overlooking the gorge, walk over the suspension bridge or obtain a permit to hike or rappel down the gorge floor. The campground offers 50 sites with picnic tables, a playground and restroom facilities.

Its lakeside location gives campers access to a boat ramp, nature trails and opportunities for fishing and swimming. Eighty campsites include some sites with electric hookups and access to a bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets.
