DIY Autumn Vase
- 1). Push a new hot glue stick into a hot glue gun, then plug the hot glue gun into an electrical outlet for 15 minutes to heat up. This melts the hot glue stick so you can squeeze it out through the tip of the gun.
- 2). Squeeze a line of hot glue around the circumference of the opening of a decorative vase. Hold the vase horizontally in your hand, then squeeze out hot glue onto the middle of the vase as you turn it 360 degrees.
- 3). Wind an autumn-colored silk grape vine around the opening of the vase and press it onto the hot glue. Hold it in place for 2 minutes so that the glue can cool and harden.
- 4). Squeeze three quarter-sized dollops of hot glue onto the outside of the opening of the vase and press a silk sunflower onto each glue dollop. Hold each sunflower in place for 2 minutes so that the glue can cool and harden.
- 5). Squeeze six pea-sized dollops of hot glue onto the outside of the opening of the vase and press silk wheat onto each glue dollop. Hold each piece of wheat in place for 2 minutes so that the glue can cool and harden.
- 6). Cut a 2 inch wide velvet ribbon to measure 18 inches long using scissors. Select a ribbon that is fall-colored, such as maroon, rust, gold or brown.
- 7). Wrap the ribbon around the vase, positioning it underneath the decorative opening. Tie the ribbon into a large bow to complete the autumn vase.
