The magician says he is going to make the coin disappear.
He covers the coin with the covered glass and says the magic word.
However when he lifts the glass, the coin is still there.
The magician says he knows a better trick and slams the glass and napkin on to the table.

Roll a tumbler-type glass in a paper napkin and twist the napkin at the base of the glass, so that the napkin stays in place around the glass (rather like a cone).

The glass should be held through the napkin with your fingers, so as to stop the glass falling out the bottom of the napkin.
Then place a coin on the table and tell the spectators that you are going to cover the coin with the glass and when you say the magic word "Mumbo Jumbo", the coin will disappear.
Cover the coin with the glass and say the magic spell.
Quickly take the glass off the coin and move it glass back to the edge of the table.
Look disappointed because the coin has not vanished.
Suddenly brighten up and say, "Oh, I know why it didn't work.
The coin was the wrong way up".
