3 Ways to Become a Morning Person
We're all guilty at one time or another of pounding on the snooze button and begging for ten more minutes.
Sometimes, it seems like the days last forever and sleep is but a fleeting moment in time.
Groggy mornings can make us late for work or school and can negatively effect our morning work-habits and health.
The following tips can help anybody have a smoother morning.
Stretch- But don't stretch muscles that aren't ready.
Do some jumping jacks or jog in place to get the heart pumping, then stretch afterwards.
This helps wake you up and also gets in a little bit of a morning work out, which will help relieve the grumpiness of the morning.
Do not keep your alarm clock next to the bed- If you have to get up to shut the alarm off, chances are you won't bother getting back in bed, but will instead start your day.
Set the alarm clock where you can still see the time from your bed, but cannot reach the snooze button or off switch unless you get up and walk to it.
One person I know even keeps their alarm clock in the living room.
This way, his first thought after he shuts the alarm off is to let the dog out rather than get a few more minutes of sleep.
Use your snooze- Just because the button says "snooze" doesn't mean you have to use it for that.
Make it a game.
Hit the snooze button and see how much you can get done before the alarm sounds the second time.
What better way to start the morning than a good game?
