How to Connect an iPod Nano to Power

    • 1). Compare the two ends of the iPod nano charger cable. Plug the larger end of the cable gently into the bottom of the iPod nano.

    • 2). Plug the USB end of the cable into a high-power USB port on your computer. Alternatively, connect your iPod nano to an AC power outlet using the AC adapter that came with the device. Connecting the device to a low-power USB source, such as a keyboard or monitor USB port, will result in an error message saying that a 2.0 USB port is preferred. If you just want to charge your device, ignore this message; the iPod nano will still charge, but it will charge more slowly.

    • 3). Leave the iPod nano connected to the power source. A green bar is displayed in the upper-right corner of the iPod nano's screen displaying the charging progress. Unplug the device at any time.
