How to Keep Cooked Sausage Patties Moist
- 1). Drain any excess grease from the frying pan or skillet. The grease inside the patty helps maintain moisture; however, letting your patty cool in a soup-like pool of grease will result in a messy, congealed puddle inside the container.
- 2). Wrap each patty inside a small piece of tin foil. Ideally you should store the patties within 20 minutes of cooking. If the patty is cool to touch, spray a few squirts of water mist on each side before wrapping it in foil.
- 3). Place the foil-wrapped patties inside the air-tight container. You may store your patties for up to three days in the refrigerator using this method.
