Home Brewing Supplies in Gympie Queensland, Australia
My name is Dave Downing. Last year I bought Gympie Home Brew Supplies which I run with my wife Tanya, my son Jim, and my daughter Jessy.
When we bought the business there was a regular customer base but I felt that the business had plenty of scope to grow. Our business is located in Mellor Street Gympie near to the Valley Rattler railway station, about 500 metres up from Mary Street.
When we bought the business the shop stocked the fairly usual range of home brew products for the hobbyist interested in making beer wine or spirits at home. We feel there is scope for a lot more from Gympie Home Brew Supplies.
Although we have increased our range of stocked products we also want to develop a membership type mentality so that our customers can help each other with problems they encounter in their home brewing. We have increased our range of spirit essences by including the Edwards range to complement our Still Spirits, Top Shelf, Willards, and Prestige products.
Our beer kits includes the basic Coopers range which previously was available at supermarkets but as they are not committed to the product as we are it is important that our customers know they can buy all their needs in the one spot. Our beer kits include the full Coopers range, as well as Muntons, Morgans, Black Rock, Tooheys and more. We have increased the range of wine kits including the chez maison and vintners reserve kits.
We also offer a complete keg service for beer brewers who want to keg there beer instead of bottling it, and this includes carbon dioxide supplies, filling and supply of bottles, taps, regulators etc. We have just launched our website: [http://www.gympiehomebrew.com] which includes a members forum as well as a frequently asked questions page so customers can meet each other online and discuss matters of mutual interest and get help with any brewing issues they have.
Although I endeavour to try out all of the products that I stock it is just not possible to do them all justice and my experiences are not going to be same as the experiences of our customers; we all have something to learn. I also offer a 'contact us' facility on the website so if a customer wants to put a question to us in writing we can get back to them by email or telephone.
