How to Remove Cat Urine From Tile
- 1). Wipe up wet cat urine from tile flooring with paper towels.
- 2). Mix warm water with 2 squirts of dish detergent in a bucket and sponge onto the urine stain. Sponge up any leftover urine from the tile floor.
- 3). Spray or pour an enzymatic cleaner onto an old rag and apply to the urine stain. Cat urine is acidic and clings to surfaces, leaving a pungent odor. Enzymatic cleaners contain ingredients that break down the acidic properties of cat urine, lifting the odor and any urine residue from the tile floor.
- 4). Mix 1 cup of white vinegar into 1 gallon of cool water. Mop the vinegar solution onto the tile floor. White vinegar removes any lasting urine order and kills bacteria.
- 5). Rinse the floor with cool water and allow to dry before walking on the tile surface.
