How to Remove Old Decals
- 1). Soak in rubbing alcohol. First, pour the rubbing alcohol into a spray bottle. You can find rubbing alcohol and the empty spray bottle at any grocery store in the personal care section. Once you have filled your bottle, make sure to screw the spray top on tightly. Next, spray the sticker or decal that is stuck to your window thoroughly with the rubbing alcohol. make sure to really drench it well and do not let the rubbing alcohol dry.
- 2). Scrape the decal off. After the decal or sticker is wet from the rubbing alcohol, carefully scrape the sticker or decal off of the window using a box cutter. Try to push the box cutter away from you when you scrape to avoid any dangerous slipping. Your decal should come off very easily.
- 3). Remove any remaining glue. If you notice any remaining glue or stickiness left behind, go ahead a spray it again with your rubbing alcohol and re-scrape that area with your box cutter. After your window is completely free of stickers and decals, wipe it thoroughly with a dry towel. You now have a decal- and sticker-free window!
