    • 1). Select "Print" from the file menu on the program you used to create your banner. Press the "Printer" button and the "Printer Setup" dialog box will appear.

    • 2). Press the "Options" button in the "Printer Setup" dialog box. The HP deskjet series printer dialog box will appear. Select the "Paper" tab from the dialog box. Select "Banner" from the drop-down box, then press "OK."

    • 3). Slide the banner switch on your printer either up or to the right. Depending on the deskjet you are using, the movement of the banner switch will vary. Refer to the printer's instruction manual for the correct positioning of the banner switch. The banner switch will click into place.

    • 4). Remove all papers from the "in" tray of your deskjet printer.

    • 5). Select how many sheets of banner paper will be needed and add at least one extra page to your original count. Tear the sheets away from the rest of the banner paper that will not be used. If necessary, tear off the perforated edges from both sides of your banner paper. Some banner paper will not have perforated edges.

    • 6). Place the banner paper in the "in" tray. The torn edge of the first piece of paper to be printed should be fed into the printer first.

    • 7). Print the banner using the program you used to create it. If the printer has finished printing the banner but there is still banner paper stuck in the printer, press the "Resume" button on your printer. The remaining papers will be ejected from the printer.
