Paint a terra cotta flowerpot black or white or both. Use a small paintbrush or marker to draw different Halloween shapes, such as ghosts, jack-o-lantern faces or bats on the pot. Allow the pot to dry and fill it with candy. - Nothing beats a black silhouette for Halloween. Trace your favorite Halloween shapes (e.g., bats, cats, ravens, jack-o-lantern faces) on black poster board and cut them out. Orange poster board gives you the ultimate inexpensive window décor when it comes to pumpkins. Simply cut the pumpkin face from the paper and decorate with markers. Use double-sided tape to attach the shapes to windows, pumpkins and lampshades.
