How to Remove Stains on a Non-Washable Cotton Jacket
- 1). Mix 1 tsp. of ammonia and 1/2 cup of cold water in a plastic container or pot. Wear latex gloves to keep your hands dry.
- 2). Dip a soft cloth or rag in the ammonia solution, stir the solution and wring out excess.
- 3). Blot the stain on the non-washable cotton jacket with the solution-soaked cloth or rag. Do not wipe the stain --- this will spread it.
- 4). Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone. Pat the damp area dry with one or more paper towels. If the stain or a portion of the stain is still present, complete the steps in the next section.
