How to Decorate a Rose Colored Bathroom
- 1). Paint your rose-colored bathroom walls white to brighten the room, if you feel the rose fixtures, tiles and painted walls overpower the room. Choose a soft pastel pink paint to accent rose-colored tubs, sinks and commodes.
- 2). Theme your rose-colored bathroom to emphasize a color that compliments the rose. Seashells, poodles and the southwestern desert are among themes that utilize a pinkish or rosy color, along with shades of black, orange, rust, salmon or yellow.
- 3). Draw attention to your rose-colored bathroom theme through a theme-related shower curtain. Shower curtains tend to dominate bathroom decor because of their size. Accentuate your theme with rose-colored shower rings. Look for rings that depict sunbursts, clusters of roses, pink poodles or seashell shapes.
- 4). Choose window curtains to match your shower curtain. For a seashell theme, create window chains by gluing small seashells to strands of white raffia or kite string. Dangle the strands of shells from an ordinary curtain rod.
- 5). Add fluffy white throw rugs and commode covers to minimize the influence of rose-colored floor tiles or a pink commode. Choose white or theme-related accessories, such as soap dish, soap dispenser, tissue holder and toothbrush holder.
- 6). Create or buy wall hangings or displays coordinated with your theme. Glue ordinary seashells to plain photo frames, and fill the frames with old family photos or beach scenes.
