Rug Wash and What is involved in area Rug Cleaning? No matter who you use for your rug cleaning, first make sure that the company knows how to properly take care for your precious items. Only allow a reputable and knowledgeable craftsman/weaver to clean, restore or repair your Area Rugs. You should have access to see the plant where your rug will be washed so that you are assured of the professionalism of the company that you are using.

Once a rug is brought to the factory or picked up at customers home the following takes place in regards to cleaning of the rug.
1. Tag and measure the area rug. For Insurance claims, pictures will be taken to have on file for comparison of before and after appraisals.
2. Inspection process, any problem/damages, prior restorations, before the cleaning, will be discussed with the client prior to the job being done. A price will be set in the Invoice.
3. Dusting: We have several dusting machines for different carpets. 70% of cleaning a rug involves removing dust. New state of the art equipments is now available able to remove 100% of the dust from the rug. All rugs are dusted prior to cleaning. As a result, the pile of the rug becomes open and fresh.
Our Rug cleaning Factory has several different washes depending on the condition of the rug.
Rug Wash: We wash the rugs on both sides with special shampoos which we provide. Pump washing uses natural detergent and soft water. There are four rows of soft brushes/scrubbers which go in different directions in order to have the pile of the carpet back in the original order. Brushes clean the fiber/wool in the carpet. Disinfecting and Deodorizing is applied during the cleaning process. The last rinse puts the pile in the original state after being washed in cold water with filtered soft treated water and you can be ensured that no residue is left in your rug. A squeezer or ringer will take out 90% of the water after the final rinse, after which the carpet is on a running table which leads to our large climate controlled drying tower. Each carpet will dry on its own individual set temperature which is unique for every carpet. You are guaranteed that your rug will receive the best professional washing method possible. You can rest assure that no residue is left in your rug. The following day we will redo the fringe to get the best result and if our staff is not satisfied with the result we will redo the process to your satisfaction. After the wash we apply additional services of Teflon coating /MothProofing/ as requested by customer.
Sometimes stains do not come off after the washing process and we can contact customer to start on color restoration.
Stains: For spot removal it is highly recommended that all spills be cleaned immediately. Research shows that up to 90% of spots and stains from spills can be prevented if cleaned right away. Natural stains, coffee, wine, tea, orange juice, pet stains are very stubborn and cannot be removed without causing damage to the fibers in the rug. These spots will become harder and more expensive to fix with the passage of time.
Some stains are a product of water damage (color run), fire damage, light damage (fading), pet urine, and spilling food or drinks on the rug. The attempt is always to try and remove as much of the stain as possible through the process of cleaning. If the stain is not removed completely through this process, their are other options available (Spot removal, re-dyeing and re-weaving). The objective is to get the affected are to look as close to the original as possible. With our experience we will make all attempt to bring back a satisfying results and we will pay special attention to the stain. A price will be discussed for this type of service depending on the particular stain.
Antique carpet/Delicate rugs: The method to take the dust off by using a tumbler, and then it is put into a timer delicate machine. It washes in different movements in order to have the piles fluffy. Depending on the carpet, we may use a timer bath machine with mild detergent and filtered soft water. In order to take the water off we use a centrifuge spinner machine; after which it goes to a drying tower.
Pet Odor and Fire Damage Soaking: Soaking is one of the most important processes a rug can undergo. We soak the carpet overnight and with this process we are able to remove all the odor from the carpet. This is a process we use for pet odors and fire damage rugs. We then wash the carpet and it becomes 100% clean.
