    • 2). Make a CD or DVD by clicking on "Data," "Audio" or "Video," depending on your project. Once you have chosen the format, go to the drop down box and select your source, which is highlighted in blue. Next, click the "Add" button, which has a green plus sign indicator. Go to the drop down box and select the source you wish to burn. Once the source is selected, all available files will appear. Select all files that you want to add by highlighting each file and clicking the add button. Pay close attention to the ruler at the bottom of the page. You will notice it starts with 0MB and ends at about 850MB. The ruler will fill up with each file you add. Click the button marked "finish."

    • 3). Click the button marked "Next." Name the disc and select the writing speed and number of copies. Place a blank CD or DVD into the burner and select the button marked "burn." A progress status meter will appear with percentages of completion. Nero will notify you once the project is complete.

    • 4). Save the project and design a cover. Left click on the icon marked "Nero Cover Design." A grid will appear. A small framed design box appears in the grid. Double click on every available square within the design box to frame your art work, type words, track numbers and production information. Here you can download photo files from you computer to create a creative cover. Select special effects like horizontal flips and rotations. Once you have completed the design, click the button marked "Save."

    • 5). Backup files by clicking on the button marked "Nero Backitup." This option will assist in backing up files due to hardware damage, viruses and power outages. There is also an option that allows you to restore data that was previously backed up.
