How to Make Natural Mildew Remover
- 1). Combine ½ cup white vinegar and ½ cup water in a spray bottle. The acid in white vinegar is a powerful mildew remover. It kills the mildew, and prevents it from coming back.
- 2). Add one tablespoon baking soda, and wait until the mixture stops bubbling. Baking soda adds an element of freshness to the mildew remover, and helps eliminate the mildew smell.
- 3). Add 10 drops tea tree essential oil, place the lid on top, and shake well. Tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial and antimicrobial that quickly cuts through mildew.
- 4). To use, spray the mildew remover on the affected area, allow it to sit for at least five minutes, and then rinse clean with warm water. Treat areas prone to mildew frequently to inhibit future growth.
- 5). For stubborn mildew stains, make a paste with the mildew remover and baking soda, allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes, and then scrub with a sponge or scouring pad.
