Removing Scale Buildup in Toilet Bowls
- 1). Put on the rubber gloves before handling any chemical cleaners.
- 2). Turn the water off to your toilet. Flush toilet until all water is removed from the toilet bowl.
- 3). Spray thick paper towels with the scale removal cleaners until they are saturated. Line the toilet bowl with the paper towels.
- 4). Leave the paper towels in the toilet bowl for two hours. Continue to spray the paper towels inside the toilet bowl every half hour.
- 5). Remove the paper towels after two hours and throw them away.
- 6). Wet a scrub brush and scrub the loosened scale stains.
- 7). Rinse the toilet bowl with a pan of cold water. If the stains are still noticeable, repeat the procedure.
- 8). Wet a pumice stone and rub gently on any stains that remain.

Turn on the water to the toilet. After the water fills the tank, flush so it rinses the toilet bowl. - 11
Clean the toilet bowl daily with the toilet brush. Clean weekly with a toilet cleaner.
