    • 1). Insert the source DVD into your Mac's DVD player. Quit DVD Player if it launches automatically.

    • 2). Open the "Applications" folder in a Finder window. Next, open the "Utilities" folder (inside Applications). Double-click on the "Disk Utility" application to launch it.

    • 3). Left-click on the "DVD" in the left-hand pane of the Disk Utility window. Click the "New Image" icon in the top of the utility window, then select a "Save as..." file name and location when prompted. Select "DVD/CS Master" as the file format, then click "Save."

    • 4). Eject the original DVD once the copy process is complete and replace it with a blank DVD.

    • 5). Left-click the copied "DVD" file in the Disk Utility window---it should be displayed in the left-hand column---then click the "Burn" icon to copy the DVD file onto the new, blank DVD in your computer's disc drive. Alternatively, you can simply open a "Finder" window for the blank DVD and drag and drop the copied file into this, then click "Burn."
