Which Massage Do You Need?

When most people think of a massage they usually think of the relaxing kind, but not many people realise that massage can be used for many things.
If you want a Massage you should first think about what type you need and what would benefit you best as the different types have very different purposes and not all will suit everyone.
For example a sports massage is about as far from relaxing as you can possibly get.
It is specifically for treating injuries -- not only from sports, but that is what is mainly used for -- or preventing them through a deep tissue massage that is very beneficial to getting rid of scar tissue that can also be extremely painful, unexpectedly so for those who expected a relaxing massage! On the other hand a Swedish massage is relaxing, and is great if you just want to unwind and relax tight muscles in your neck or back.
If you just want to come out or a massage in a better state of mind than a relaxing massage is probably for you.
However if you have an injury a Swedish massage or a similar type will not help anywhere near as much as a sports massage therapist can.
There is also a wide range in prices of different massages reflecting the skill levels of the different types so this may be a factor when choosing what kind of massage you would like best, and which would give you the most benefit for the most.
