How to Clean Pepper Spray

    • 1). Remove contacts lenses if you wear them. Run fresh water over your eyes if the pepper spray is in or around your eyes. Rinsing your eyes to remove pepper spray from them is your first priority after getting sprayed.

    • 2). Stop the burning. Saturate a washcloth or a towel in milk. Although whole milk works best, any available milk will work. Soak the towel on the skin to relieve burning.

    • 3). Mix 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap with 3/4 cups cool water in a bowl.

    • 4). Dip a cloth into the soapy solution and begin rubbing it on your skin to remove the pepper spray oil. Rinse the cloth under running water before dipping it back in the soapy water. This will prevent the oil from ending up back in the soapy water. Continue cleaning until the oil is removed. This may require several attempts.
