Chicago's largest Whole Foods location - Whole Foods Lincoln Park - has launched a Wellness Club that helps members not only lose weight bbut also learn how to eat healthy based on a plant-focused diet that limits meat and diary and salt, sugar, and oil. Joining the club gives members discounts on Whole Foods Market food items, cooking classes, and massages, as well as free nutrition and fitness classes.
The Wellness Club is run by a wellness team that include wellness coaches, chefs, lecturers, and more.

Membership to the Whole Foods Lincoln Park Wellness Club includes 10 percent off select food items in the store; unlimited nutrition classes such as learning about calorie density and how to properly eat proteins and dairy, as well as understanding food addiction; unlimited fitness classes such as CoreFitness, yoga, and CrossFit; discounts on cooking classes and massages; private wellness coaching; discounts from local businesses that are partnering with the Wellness Club; $10 Supper Club meals made Monday - Friday at the Whole Foods Lincoln Park location and include an appetizer, entree, and soup; and more.
Whole Foods Lincoln Park Wellness Club Membership Costs:
Through October 31, 2011, the cost to join is just $1 and then it is $49 per month with a minimum of a three-month commitment.
After that, you can cancel at anytime. In terms of the cost to join after October 31, it could go up to $200. I will update the story when I find out more. The Wellness Club does not take insurance. Your membership cost includes a wealth of benefits, as described above.
