    One Card per Sheet

    • 1). Open your document program such as "Word" or "Open Office."

    • 2). Define the page by clicking on "Format." Go to "Page." Select "Landscape." Set "Margins" to 0 inches. Click "OK." A message will come up telling you that the margins are out of print range. That is all right. Click "Yes."

    • 3). Click on "Table" and set up 2 columns and 2 rows. Uncheck "Border." Click "OK." Go to the end of the page and click "Enter" to bring you to a second page. Repeat the same table set you did for the first page.

    • 4). Go back to page one and click in the lower, right-hand block.

    • 5). Select "Insert" from the top menu. Scroll down to "Picture," click on it and select your picture source. The picture will appear in the the lower, right-hand block. Re-size to fit and center it in the block.

    • 6). Go to page two and select the lower, right-hand block. Type in whatever message you want to appear on the right, inside half of the card. If you want to add something on the left, switch over to the left, lower block and put it in.

    • 7). Open your printer menu and adjust the setup for landscape printing. Set the margins to "border-less" if you have a choice.

    • 8). Test the layout on plain paper by printing out the first page only. Put the printed page back into the printer facing so it will print on the same side but with the bottom edge leading, and print the second page. The result should be the picture in one corner and the upside down words in the diagonal corner.

    • 9). Fold the card in half horizontally and vertically to form the card. Check for picture and word placement and adjust in the document as needed. Print on card stock once all the adjustments are finished.

    Two Cards From One Sheet

    • 3). Click on "Table" and set up 2 columns and 2 rows. Uncheck "Border." Click "OK." Go to the end of the page and click "Enter" to bring you to a second page. Repeat the same table set you did for the first page.

    • 4). Insert a picture on page one into both the top and bottom, right-hand blocks.

    • 5). Insert the words on page 2 in both the right-hand blocks. If you have put something on the left, place that in both of the left-hand blocks.

    • 6). Print out page one on plain paper to get the two pictures along the right side. Turn the paper over to print page two. Lead with the top edge so the printing is not turned upside down like it was in the previous section.

    • 7). Cut the paper in half horizontally and fold each piece in half. Check for image and word placement and adjust on the document as needed. Print the final cards on card stock.
