    Wreaths

    • Cut a large piece of cardboard into a circle. Cut the middle out of the cardboard to form a hole in the center. The shape should look like a wreath or doughnut. Cut green tissue paper into 2-inch by 2-inch squares. Pour some all-purpose glue on a paper plate. Put a pencil eraser in the center of the paper squares, and pull the paper back to hold it in place. Dip the paper square into the glue, and place it on the wreath. Continue this process until you have the entire wreath covered. Add a red bow or another decoration.

    Stained Glass Window Look

    • Plan a window design by drawing it on a scrap piece of paper. Cut tissue paper to re-create the design in color the size of your window. Use whatever colors you want, and be creative with the design. One option would be a flower. You could cut petals from pink, white or purple tissue paper, and add some green for the stem and leaves. Spread petroleum jelly over the window pane that will be decorated. Place the tissue paper pieces in the order of your design. The petroleum jelly won't dry, so you can change the design as much as you like.

    Decorative Dishes

    • Use clear plates or bowls to decorate. Flip them over so that the bottom side is up. Use a paintbrush to apply a mixture of one part water and five parts white glue to the bottom of your bowl and/or plates. Cut strips of different colors of tissue paper in varying sizes and shapes. Smooth the strips over the entire glued surfaces, overlapping other strips. Allow the glue to dry about two hours, and spray with a clear aerosol sealant. After the sealant dries, you can flip the dishes over and use them. The view from the top of your plate or bowl will be both colorful and interesting.

    Paper Weights

    • Start with an existing paper weight or a smooth, round stone. Cut small strips of tissue paper. You can use one or more layers, depending on the color scheme of your office. Dip the paper strips into a mixture of five parts glue and one part water. Place the strips onto the paper weight or rock one by one, overlapping the other strips until the entire surface is covered. Allow it to dry about two hours before using it on paper to avoid its sticking to important paperwork.
