The applicants, who score 67 points and appear in the list, are qualified for Canada Skilled Migration without a job offer from an employer of Canada. This job unit includes different kinds of chefs, who make plan, give direction for preparation of food, and cooking activities, and who arrange and cook special food items. They get appointed in restaurants, hotels, hospitals and other health care organizations, central food commissaries, clubs and similar types of establishments, and on ship as chefs.

The occupation of an executive chef includes certain types of duties to perform, they are mentioned below:

• Planning and giving direction in preparation of food items and activities of cooking in restaurants, chains of restaurant, hospitals or such other type of establishment with food services
• Consulting with clients regarding their requirements for banquets, weddings, and other special occasions
• Planning menus and ensuring good quality food items to meet the required standards
• Making estimates for the food requirements including the labour costs
• Supervising work  of special chefs, sous-chefs, cooks and chefs
• Arranging essential purchase of tools and repair
• Recruiting and hiring staff members
• Preparing and cooking food items regularly, or for some unusual guests or occasions.

However, the occupation of a Sous-chef, which is next in command after the Executive Chef in a professional kitchen, has to perform the below mentioned duties, such as:

• Supervising works of chefs, specialist cooks, chefs, and other workers of the kitchen
• Demonstrating new techniques of cooking and new cooking equipment to staff
• Planning food menu and requisition of kitchen and food supplies
• Preparing and cooking meal or specialty food items.

The occupation of a Chef and specialist chef include the following duties to perform:

• Preparing and cooking a complete meal course or specialty foods
• Giving instruction to cooks in cooking, preparing, garnishing and presenting of food items
• Creating new recipes
• Supervising cooks and other members of staff of the kitchen
• Planning menus
• Requisition of kitchen and food supplies.

To qualify for the occupation of a Chef in Canada, there are certain minimum criteria that you need to fulfill, they are:

• Completion of higher secondary education
• Cook trade certificate or equal level credentials, experience and training certificate
• Executive chefs must have training of management skills and experience in professional preparation of food as a sous-chef, specialist chef.
• Sous-chefs, specialist chefs and chefs needs to have the experience in business food preparation.
• Interprovincial trade certification is also required which is provided to the qualified chefs.
• The qualified chefs are provided with Chef de cuisine certification by the Canadian Culinary Institute of the Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks.

If your present occupation matches with the Chef 6241, then you have every chance of qualifying for a Canadian skilled visa.
