Just like your body, your voice also needs exercise.
Of course we all spend a lot of our time talking, but this is not the same as a workout that would relax your voice and help get the most out of it.
Since the cause of a high-pitched voice is tension in the muscles of the larynx, these simple exercises help you to lower your voice.
Before doing these exercises you should first do some warm up exercises to release tension in your neck, shoulders, jaw and tongue.
To exercise your tongue, extend it out of your mouth as far as you can and move it in all directions.
To exercise your facial muscles, make as many exaggerated funny faces as you can.
To remove tension in your neck and shoulders, do neck and shoulder rolls.
You can also try massaging the base of your tongue, which is located behind your chin bone, with your thumbs.
Once you've done these warm-ups, you can try these vocal exercises.
Vocalize an 'aah' sound going higher and deeper, and lower your voice gradually.
Hum holding a particular pitch for ten seconds at least.
Yawn several times to open up the back of your throat.
Flap your lips while making a 'brr' sound, going up and down your vocal range.
Make some noises while jumping up and down or shaking your body.
For best results, do these exercises on a regular basis to release tension.
A good speaking voice is one of the keys to success in life and vocal workouts will not only help you lower your voice but also increase its range and power.
