Not Just a Mummy
Ever stop to think who you really are? For many mums, life is so busy of your responsibilities that you rarely stop to make time for yourself.
Over the years YOU, YOUR identity becomes ever more a distant memory.
When an opportunity does arise for a bit of "me" time you have probably forgotten what you actually like to do, THAT'S JUST FOR YOU.
Why is it, that even the thought of a bit of "me" time riddles us with guilt? How crazy is that? For most families it is the mum who co-ordinates and supports everyone else's needs - just to think of themselves is considered selfish! However, is that really setting a good example of how to treat people, how to treat yourself? What example do you really want to set your children? What benefit would your family get if you were able to take time out to relax, exercise, develop yourself or simply have fun - Invest in yourself and how much more would you be able to give in return? Having trouble remembering who you are?, then fill in the form below Think about: What things you wish there was more time for - ie read a book, take a bath, what did you used to do, but have got out of the habit of doing; painting your nails, baking a cake.
What old hobbies / interests could you resurrect? Make a commitment to do at least one thing a week and notice how much better you feel about YOU.
