How to Shine a Fiberglass Sink
- 1). Clean the sink using a mild cleanser, such as liquid laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid or an all-purpose cleaner, that is safe for use on fiberglass. Apply the cleanser to a soft rag or sponge, and gently scrub the sink surface.
- 2). Coat stained areas with a mild cleanser and let stand for one to two hours. Scrub the stain with a soft sponge and rinse.
- 3). Make a mild abrasive cleanser by mixing one part water with three parts baking soda to use on stubborn hard water stains or soap scum buildup. Apply the paste to the stain and leave for one hour. Gently rub the paste away with a clean, wet cloth and rinse.
- 4). Dry the sink using a clean dry cloth. Apply fiberglass polish gel and gently rub the gel into the sink using a soft rag in small circular motions. Allow the fiberglass polish to dry.
- 5). Use a buffing pad or soft cloth to buff the dried polish away until all polish residue is removed and the sink's surface is shining brightly.
