How many times has your child gotten a little cut or bruise and showed it off to you, friends and family? What happens when they show they little cut or bruise? What happens when they show you that tiny bruise? I have a little girl, and when she shows me that "ouchie," I put on my baby voice and give her sympathy.
I don't just give her a little, but I pour that sympathy on heavy.
I'm willing to bet that the last time you got hurt, sick, or had a surgical procedure, you would always feel better when someone gave you sympathy.
Why? We all want to feel special.
There you have it; make your child feel special and unique and give him what he really wants without spending a dime.
Can it really be this simple? Showing your kids that their special (which they are!) consistently and genuinely is part of parenting.
As parents, bringing out the best in your kid is a great responsibility.
In addition, by practicing making them feel special you can transform your kid's life if your willing to put the effort.
If you want to work on building character with your kid, then constantly praise them and making them feel special.
In conclusion, the point is that a martial arts program that works on developing kids character rather kicking and punching is your best bet.
Why? Because I've seen martial arts transform kids lives from the inside out.
Encouraging them with love and appreciation is a sure fire way to help build character in your child.
