Decorating Ideas With LP Covers
- Use LP covers as wall art. Arrange them into groups according to color, design, artist or style of music. Frame them or leave them unframed. Don't leave them in a straight line; alter the placements of the LP covers on your walls. Create geometric shapes such as squares or triangles with the LP covers.
- Create mosaics with your LP covers. Cut out interesting pictures or graphics and combine them to make a mosaic. Mix and match artists, styles of music and colors to add texture, depth and dimension to the room you are decorating. Frame your mosaics and place them on floating shelves, mantles or tables.
- Use LP covers to create a wall border. Place the border higher on the wall to draw the eye upward, creating the illusion of a higher ceiling. Use LP covers as "frames" to your walls, placing them side by side the entire length and width of the walls.
- Create room dividers with your LP covers. Using a hole punch, make holes on the top and bottom of the LP covers and then attach them with a thin chain or fishing line. Repeat this process until you have the width needed. Hang the LP cover divider to separate rooms or in doorways.
- Use LP covers to create window valances. Attach the LP covers to a plain valance box or thread them through a tension curtain rod. Hang embellishments from the bottom of your window valance that will match the LP covers, such as small bats or skulls to an Ozzy Osbourne LP cover or party favor cowboy boots to a George Strait LP cover. This will add even more visual interest to your room.
