Things to Do in Cuba New York
- Just about an hour's drive south of Rochester and Buffalo, at the western end of Allegany County lies the town of Cuba, New York. About 4,000 people call this 19th Century town home. Though small, visitors will find that there is no lack of things to do and see in and around town.
- A man-made lake that has been popular with the locals almost since its completion, Cuba Lake was built in 1858. Cuba Lake Yacht Club offers sailing lessons and races. Private home owners offer cottages for rent through a list offered by the Cuba Lake District's Website.

sailclub.com - Oil Springs Indian Reservation lies near Cuba on the border of Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties. No permanent Seneca residents live on the reservation, however several businesses do call it home. It is also the home of the Seneca Oil Spring, where in 1627 Franciscan Missionary Joseph de La Roche Daillon made the first recorded observation of oil in North America.
