  Shopping for gifts is always personal, no matter who you're shopping for. That being said, there are certain things that most guys in their 20s would appreciate. Having graduated college or started working and living on their own, 20-something guys have needs and wants that can be met through thoughtful gifts.

• A lot of guys in their 20s have free time to fill, but they aren't bringing in enough income to spend it on music concerts, comedy clubs, or other forms of entertainment. Movies are a great way to spend downtime without burning through cash. Based on what you know about a guy's personal tastes, invest in something to help enhance his adult toy collection. Collector's items can be a winner for guys who follow sports, movies, or who keep a prized collection.

• As a rule, guys tend to be harder on clothes than women, and they go through underwear and socks fairly quickly. Whether they want to admit it or not, a lot of guys need new underwear and socks, which makes this gift idea both relatively inexpensive and practical.
