How to Get Carrot Out of the Carpet
- 1). Press a cloth over the carrot stain to soak up as much of the juices as possible. Work from the outside of the stain toward the center to make sure that you aren't going to spread the stain.
- 2). Mix 1 cup lukewarm water with 1/4 tsp. liquid dish soap. Use mild soap that doesn't have bleach in it.
- 3). Blot the soapy solution into the stain, working from the edges of the stain toward the center. Use new cloths and more solution as needed until the stain no longer transfers from the carpet.
- 4). Mix 1 cup vinegar with 2 cups water. This will create a mild acidic cleaning solution that will help remove the stain without damaging the carpet.
- 5). Blot the vinegar solution onto the stain until the stain doesn't transfer to the cloth anymore.
- 6). Mix 1 tbsp. ammonia with 1 cup lukewarm water.
- 7). Blot the ammonia solution directly onto the carrot stain if you can still see it.
- 8). Press a cloth over the area to soak up as much of the cleaning solution residue as possible.
- 9). Mist the area with clear water but do not soak the carpet.
