How to Vacuum Broken Tempered Glass
- 1). Connect the vacuum hose to the inlet port on the canister vacuum. Use only the end of the hose at first to remove the majority of the glass. The hose, sans attachments, provides the most suction with which to clean up the glass pebbles.
- 2). Vacuum the outer edges of the broken glass first and work your way toward the center. Using this procedure will help ensure that all the broken glass is removed.
- 3). Move the end of the hose over every inch of the surface. Visually divide the area into a grid and work one section of the grid at a time to ensure that you do not miss any part of the surface.
- 4). Attach a crevice tool to the end of the vacuum hose to suck out pieces of broken glass from cracks and other hard-to-reach areas.
- 5). Clean the vacuum immediately upon completion and place the broken glass in a garbage bag. Place the garbage bag in another garbage bag to provide additional protection, and dispose of the glass according to your city's ordinances.
