How to Store Leftover Bellawood

    • 1). Bellawood should be stored inside a building that is fully enclosed, well-ventilated and weatherproof. The storage area itself should be moisture-free, clean of debris and large enough for access to the pile and for the wood to expand slightly (because of environmental conditions). Temperature within the storage area should be 50 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity kept within 35 to 55 percent.

    • 2). Lay sections of 2x4 on the floor approximately 16 inches apart. The length of the sections should be long enough to contain the full pile. The 2x4 lumber will form a support so the Bellawood being stored will be raised off the ground and air flow will be allowed below the storage pile.

    • 3). Place Bellawood flooring on top of the 2x4 lumber, finished side up, starting with the longest pieces on the bottom of the pile. Once the first level is completed, continue making levels from long to short so each piece is fully supported by the flooring below.

    • 4). Cover the stored flooring with a clean blanket or sheet. This will protect and keep the Bellawood clean.
