How to Make Bows Using Neon Tape
- 1). Lift 10 inches of tape off the roll. Do not cut it.
- 2). Hold the loose end of the tape between your thumb and index finger. Brace the other end of the tape -- the part close to the roll -- between your other thumb and index finger. Pull the tape taut between your hands.
- 3). Fold the tape over on itself approximately 4 inches in from the loose end of the tape. Line up both halves of the tape along the edges. Press the tape down.
- 4). Cut the tape off the roll with scissors. Make the cut 1/2-inch above the folded tape. You should have a 4-inch section of folded tape with a 1/2-inch tab that has exposed adhesive.
- 5). Fold the 1/2-inch tab over. Press it in place. You should have a 4-inch rectangle of tape with no exposed adhesive.
- 6). Cut a 1/2-inch piece of tape. Hang it from the edge of your work surface.
- 7). Pinch the tape in the middle to make a bow shape. Pull the tape off the table. Place one of the short ends on the bow where you are pinching it together. Wrap the tape around the middle of the bow. Press it down to secure the bow.
