How to Jailbreak an iPhone With Sn0wbreeze
- 1). Download and install the latest version of Sn0wBreeze. You will also need to download and install iTunes (version 10.2.2 or later) if you don't already have it. Then you'll need to download version 4.3.3 of the iOS firmware file.
- 2). Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable provided with the phone.
- 3). Run the Sn0wBreeze application and press "OK." Click the "Close Credits" button and then the "Next" button.
- 4). Press the "Browse" button and locate the iOS 4.3.3 firmware file. Click the "Next" button when Sn0wBreeze identifies the file. Alternatively, drag and drop the file onto the empty box in the window instead of browsing.
- 5). Select "Expert Mode" when prompted and click the "Next" button. Select "General" and click "Next" again.
- 6). Choose from the options presented for the desired settings. If you depend on the "unlock" feature on your iPhone, check the "Activate the iPhone [Hacktivate]" option and click "Next."
- 7). Select the "Build IPSW" option and press "Next." Allow Sn0wBreeze some time to construct the custom firmware that it will need to jailbreak your iPhone. Click "OK" when prompted. The firmware package will be saved to your desktop.
- 8). Press and hold the "Power" and "Home" buttons on your iPhone for 10 seconds to put the phone into "Pwned" device firmware upgrade mode. This is not the same as normal DFU mode.
- 9). Release the power button but continue holding the "Home" button for another 10 to 30 seconds. This will put the iPhone in DFU mode and a prompt will display confirming this.

Browse for the custom firmware package that Sn0wBreeze created and saved to your desktop. ITunes will begin reconstructing your iPhone's firmware using the custom package. When the procedure is finished, your iPhone will be running the iOS 4.3.3 in an untethered, jailbroken mode and you will be able to download and use the Cydia App store as well as other third-party apps.
