How to Connect a Monitor to SLI Video Cards
- 1). Determine what connector your monitor uses and if your graphic card supports it. Most graphic cards support DVI (Digital Visual Interface), D-SUB (D-subminiature) and DisplayPort; many graphic cards also have HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) connections, which are for HD TVs. You will most likely have a DVI connection as most monitors these days, especially LCDs, use them.
- 2). Take the cable from the monitor and plug it into the selected port on the video card. You can plug the cable into either video card and it will function.
- 3). Turn on your computer and plug in the power cable to your monitor. The monitor should now be working fine.
