How to Use a Black Light for Fishing
- 1). Remove the standard fishing line from your reel using the manufacture's instructions. Install a new spool of fluorescent fishing line, which is available at fishing supply stores and many home stores. The fishing line comes in a variety of colors.
- 2). Attach a fluorescent lure onto the end of the fluorescent line. Fluorescent lures are also available at fishing supply stores.
- 3). Go out onto the water in a boat at night. Cast the fishing line and lure into the water, then turn on the black light.
- 4). Move the black light over the surface of the water until you see the lure and fishing line glowing. If you have difficulty seeing the fluorescent color, turn off other lights on the boat until you see the lure.
