What it Means To Be Consistent

They say consistency is the lack of contradiction.
For example, if you are trying to lose weight, eating over your allotted amount of calories per day would be a contradiction to your goal of losing weight.
Therefore the lack of contradiction would be you following your proper calorie count, thus eating properly.
Being consistent is one of the most important trait you should have.
It is going to get you to where you would want your life to go to.
By being consistent with your actions, you will get to where you would want to be.
Being consistent also means being harmonious with what you are doing.
let's say you are trying to lose weight and you properly follow your diet, that means you are harmonious with your actions in trying to reach your goal.
That's the external side of it.
Internally however, if you have doubts in losing weight, if you are not sure that you want to lose weight, then you are not being consistently harmonious with yourself.
And if both your external and internal system contradict, you will not be able to reach your goal at all.
The first thing that you should do when you set up a goal is ask the reason why you would want to reach such goal.
Your whole body, inside and out, should be in alignment in your vision to reach that certain goal.
For example, in losing weight, if you are eating right but your mind is not in alignment with your goal, sooner or later you will go back to eating more than what you need to eat.
And this will result to you not losing any weight at all and definitely not reaching your goal.
But if you are truly focused on reaching your goal, consistency will take you where you need to be.
Like in businesses for example.
We often hear of people not succeeding in the businesses that they put up.
Why? because they were not not doing what they were supposed to be doing in the first place.
Often times, their actions are in contradiction with their goals.
Sometimes they really do the things that they need to be doing but they are not passionate about it.
They are not passionate specifically with their mission.
They do things just for the sake of doing it.
A successful person would be someone who will do whatever it takes to reach their goal.
Not only that, they have passion in what their doing which makes them consistent in their objective to get to where they want to be.
That is the kind of person who lacks contradiction.
And that person can be considered consistent.
No one can force you to be consistent but yourself.
No one is accountable for your actions but yourself.
So if you want to be successful in whatever goal it is that you're trying to reach, you have to tell yourself to be focused and consistent.
