    Walls

    • Paint the wall light green or tan to give an outdoor feel. If you can paint the ceiling, paint it light blue to resemble the sky. Use an overhead projector to blow up a nature scene like tree, clouds, animals and flowers on one wall. Alternatively, create a nature scene using acrylic paint. Hang pictures of animals and outdoor scenes on the other walls. Nature-themed wallpaper and mural stickers are also available online and at some retail stores. Another idea is to paint a leaf or twig border around the top of the room using stencils.

    Bedding

    • Nature-themed bedding is available at many home goods stores and online. You can also go with a solid-colored bedding set like brown, tan or green. Leave the bedding basic, or use acrylic paint to draw on designs. Use nature-themed stencils like animals, trees and leaves to paint on the comforter. Place leaf-, tree- and animal-shaped throw pillows on the bed for added decoration. Put animal or tree stickers on the bed's headboard or footboard, and toss a nature-themed fleece throw over the end of the bed.

    Windows

    • Use large tree branches as curtain rods. Wash the tree branches off with water, and allow them to dry before hanging them in the room. You can also learn large tree branches against the walls for decoration. Hang nature-themed curtains on the tree branches. Hot glue tree-shaped wood pieces to basic curtain tiebacks. Another idea is to use solid-colored tan, brown or green curtains. Make a nature-themed valance by painting on trees, animals and leaves with acrylic paint. Hang the valance over the solid-colored curtains. Nature-themed iron-on transfers are also available at some retail stores and online.

    Accessories

    • Decorate the room with a variety of nature items you can find right outside your home. For example, fill a picture frame with leaves and twigs to hang on the wall. Hang artificial silk flowers and leaves around the room. Drape them from the bedposts, or create a border along the walls with them. Nature-themed lamps, dressers, wall clocks, blankets, chairs, bookends and wall hangings are available at many stores. Use stencils to paint animals or leaves on drawer knobs or bedroom furniture. Place animal rugs in the floor or hang them on the walls.
