    • 1). Remove loose debris from your kitchen brush with your fingers. It is easier to do this if you are not wearing rubber gloves and if you are running warm water over the brush. Rinse the brush off.

    • 2). Put on rubber gloves to protect your hands and fill a gallon container with hot water. The hot water will loosen any stubborn debris that may be clinging to the brush bristles, such as melted cheese. Add 1 tsp. of bleach to the water. The bleach will sanitize the brush.

    • 3). Add a squirt of liquid dishwashing soap and work up some bubbles. Place the brush in the mixture and let it soak for two or three minutes or until the food loosens from the bristles.

    • 4). Remove the brush from the solution and rinse it with warm water. Set it on a rack or towel to air dry.
