Amateurs Sell, Professional Sort
"Amateurs Sell, Professionals Sort!"
Now don't get me wrong there are some salesmen that are very successful at calling and building relationships with prospects on the spot but I consider that to be a skill that is built over many years and you have to learn a bunch of Jedi mind tricks for it to work most of the time.
So in the lines that follow I'm going to breaking down the new way of marketing your network marketing, direct sales business. Please, Please, Please en grain this in your head and apply it to your business.
This entire process can be summed up in just three steps, but first let me ask you a question.
Would you rather have people eagerly contact you about your products or services, or would you rather hunt them down and beat them over the head with a sales pitch until they runaway calling you crazy?
Well I'll assume that you like the first option, now like I said please pay attention because I'll tell you how I have people calling me like crazy to sign up for my business.
Alright so the first thing you need to know is that "marketing" king. Theres no way around it, you can have the best product in the world but it will just sit there if you don't know how to market.
I wish products would just sell themselves, but the sad truth is marketing does.
Now for those 3 steps I was telling you about.
Step #1: Build a prospect list. This is a liste of people who respond to your advertisements, signaling to you that they have an interest in what you offer.
Never waste your time trying to "convince" people that they need what you have.
Step #2: Build a relationship with your list. People buy from those they like, respect, and trust, and it's no different here. The best way to do that is to offer true, honest value.
Step #3: Market to your list. This is when you market products and services that will help the people on your list get what they want. Remember, this isn't about you making money. It's about you serving others.
Ok so there you have it folks. But theres more!
The good news you can completely automate the first two steps.
The biggest mistake newbies make is that they fail to leverage the power of technology. They spend hours a day putting signs on street corners and dropping business cards in parking lots. That's sooo 90's.
On the other hand, successful business owners in this industry, like me :), utilize online and offline advertising methods like pay-per-click, ezine ads, and postcards.
My little army of ads are out there doing all of the marketing and prospecting for me. I don't bother talking to a soul about my business, most of my friends to this day still don't know how I make so much money without working a job.
Your probably wondering, well that's great and all but setting all that up will take a long time learning how to do it and putting the marketing systems in place. Well your right, but if you join up with the right team and business opportunity they will teach you how to do all that and might even do most of the leg work for you.
Alright amateur hour is over, but before you leave I want to leave you with an interesting fact.
5 Minutes is the amount of time you've wasted if you don't act on this information.
Action is key!
