How to Remove Decals From a Cargo Trailer
- 1). Saturate a cloth in vinegar.
- 2). Rub the corners of the decal with the cloth. Saturate the decal with the vinegar.
- 3). Scrape the corners of the decal with an old credit or phone card. Continuing saturating the decal and scraping until it is completely removed.
- 4). Pour undiluted vinegar directly on the area where the decal was and allow to sit for a few minutes. Wipe the area clean with a damp cloth to remove any adhesive residue.
- 1). Move the cargo trailer into a garage close to an electrical outlet. Plug in a hair dryer and set on medium heat.
- 2). Apply heat to the decal with the hair dryer. Keep the hair dryer a few inches away from the decal and move in a steady back and forth motion.
- 3). Scrape the decal off using a plastic paint scraper. Be careful not to scratch the cargo trailer.
- 4). Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have removed all traces of the decal.
- 5). Mix together equal parts water and rubbing alcohol. Saturate a cloth in the mixture and clean the area where the decal was to remove any adhesive residue.
